Facebook

Okay, so Facebook is basically dominating our society as of now. I have a Facebook, and almost every one of my friends have one, my whole family has one, some of my teachers have one, even my grandmother has one. Okay yeah, I love my Facebook. It's revolutionary. You can let your friends know you wan to hang, be reminded of your friends birthday(which otherwise you would have totally forgotten because you suck at dates), or comment on someones prom pictures how amazing they look. You can use it for your career, your education, your social life, your family life, your journal, and then there are the uses that make Facebook life a tad bit more complex. You get notified when someone breaks up, and then people comment. Its fine but I kinda wonder why that has to be sooooooo public. There are a lot of people who use Facebook for devices in their personal issues. I have two problems with this, first being that it's a little apathetic, and second being that since FB IS so public it can wind up being desperate, or cruel. I've seen multiple people post big long notes about people on these social networking sites, and while I understand where their coming from, it's a little immature. so basically, yes facebook is wonderful, but please PLEASE keep your personal issues off.

Jealousy

We've all fallen pray to the green eyed monster of jealousy. Sometimes out of insecurity, sometimes out of pride, and sometimes out of pure adrenaline. And sometimes the people in this world that are jealous are the people that you think totally shouldn't be. Its hard because you wonder why. When you don't think that particular person should be jealous it's strange because, they have their own light. I know I've turned a deep shade of green before. I mean I understand little bit because everyone is different. Everyone has advantages and disadvantages, and definitely personalities that not everyone has or understands. My philosophy is that yes tough things happen, but it is a choice to be happy with what you have. You have a choice to be happy. Yes it takes work ooh it takes a lot, but it is sooo worth it. I don't understand why someone wouldn't want to try. Everyone meets multiple people in their life that feel cheated. I know I don't understand everybody's situation or what their going through. I just don't understand why we as humans can't be happy with what we've got. Sure the grass is greener on the other side, but if were constantly roaming around looking for greener grass we've just wasted A WHOLE LOT OF GRASS and were bound to starve. I just wish we could all be happy with what we have. We don't see it, but as human beings we are all blessed.

love?

What is love? Is it that smile? Is it that tear? Is it hope? Or is it fear? The wonderful, horrible thing everyone loves to love, or loves to hate is love. What is the nature of love? Can a young person love? Can you love more than one person in life? And are humans flawed, and cracked vases as we are even with the ability to truly love? Are there different kinds of love, like friendship, or romantic, or are there just levels. I definitely believe a young person can love, the just have to have a certain degree of maturity. And yes, I do believe you can love more than one person in life. Do you not love your friends? Do you not love your siblings?Aren't we called to love everyone? Maybe not romantically, but it's definitely there. I believe that yes, there are different levels and forms of love. I believe that if you ever love someone, you never stop loving them, even if it turns into a different form or level of love. Do I believe in true love in humans? Now, I know I can honestly say yes. It may not be 100% unflawed like at the movies, but were capable creatures made to love. Now, I could talk about this for hours, but is it really necessary? In the end, I don't think anyone knows really what love is or what it entails, we just know when we feel, and share it. :)

What Now?!

Call me what you will I know who I am. What you say does not magically morph me into being what ever it is u say I am. I know what's true about me and what isn't. I've been through some hard times but they changed me for the better. I'm done with the plastic person I once was. I'm done with conforming myself to these peoples standards. I'm happy because I like who I am, and no I'm not saying I'm so great and such I'm just saying I simply like being me. I'm confusing and confused. Smart and outsmarted. A Clutz, an Artist, a writer, a performer, some times a ditz, sometimes a nerd, a christain, a vegetarian, a friend, a PERSON just like the rest of u but different. I love talking to new people so don't be shy because I will. Sometimes all it takes is the smallest thing to cheer me up, and make me completely blissful. Sometimes we need to stop and look up at the stars, or climb a tree, or spin in circles, blow bubbles, sing a silly song, and act like a fool. We need to appreciate the big little things that make life life♥

Because?

Because why?

Why not?

why wouldn't you break free?

why would you want to be strangled?

Aren't people going to judge you no matter what you are, say or do?

so then.....

Why wouldn't you want to be you?

It may be hard

but I find it something worth it to do <3

Factory Farming

Okay, so before you make up your mind that I'm a phsycho political tree hugger, let me tell you something. I'm not. The thing about that occasional person that does that is this, they simply don't have a good argument. One of the reasons most factory farms are bad is that, yeah they don't treat the animals humanely. They cram multiple animals in tiny litttle cages that oftentimes aren't cleaned properly. Not to mention the way they kill them, which is slow and painfully. Also they load the animals up on steroids in order to get more meat for the money. This brings me to my next point, factory farming is bad for you. First of all like I said, they load the animals up on steroids. Second of all, because of the way the animals are treated they're often times sick. Some scientific studies have shown that factory farms are epicenters for disease outbreakes. An extremely revelent example would be the H1N1 virus! Really? Yes! Some scientist think that Swine Flu is a result of factory farming! My net point that I will be making is an economic point. I bet you never thought it could be economic. Factory farming actually hurts economics. How does this happen? Well more and more people are buying from industries that factory farm. What happens then is that the little family farms who farm animal healthily, humanely, and ethically are being put out of buisness. So now I have given you many valid points as to why factory farming (most of it) can be bad. Now what do you think about this subject? Remember, I'm not trying to force anything on you at all. If your not convinced I'd encourage you to go research it for yourself. If your still not convinced, then you are completely and totally entitled to your own opinion. If you agree with what I'm saying and would like to make a difference, then I have a few pointers for you to get started. The first thing you can do is to be aware of what your eating, and where it is from. Nowadays since no one has to produce their own food all we have to do is drive to the grocery store, or to the nearest drive through in order to get a meal. This means that most people don't know what their eating, or from where. The next thing you can do is when you go to the grocery store you should really look at the labels of the food that you are buying. Buy Kosher meat products or products from family farms.442. The last thing you can do to help is letting other people know. You can also write your own blog on your own findings. Everyone has an impact. This is why I think factory farming is wrong, and how we can make an impact. I did this off of memory since I did a speech on it last year, but here is a source. http://www.farmsanctuary.org/issues/factoryfarming/
